Our Gymnastics Classes

Our classes focus on Recreational Gymnastics aimed for girls and boys aged 5 years and upwards. We offer a range of grades from Gym Fun through to any age group. All classes include learning routines with the option to compete throughout the South Island in a relaxed recreational gymnastics environment, including our own annual competition. In 2023 we also reintroduced a tumbling class to the schedule.

Under the guidance of coaches, they will develop skills and confidence through gymnastics apparatus’ (Beam, Bar, Floor, Vault.)

All classes run during term time only, places in class subject to Coach assessment to ensure safety of your gymnast.

Young gymnasts practice balancing on beams in a spacious, well-lit gymnasium with high wooden ceilings.

The classes we offer are:

Play Gym Classes

Our Play Gym class introduces children under 5 to the equipment used in gymnastics, in a fun and semi-structured free play style. The gym is set up into areas where the children can challenge themselves on the different apparatus with guidance from Coaches and assisted by their parent/caregiver. There is space and equipment to entertain all children under 5 with parental/caregiver supervision. Play gym runs twice a week an option to suit everyone.

Gym Fun

Developing body management and fundamental skills. Children are taught skills on every apparatus and learn at their own pace. Gym Fun will teach your child how to jump land safely, learn body awareness, spatial awareness developing those brain cross over pathways that are lifelong. All classes are mixed with boys and girls and all individuals are encouraged to challenge themselves.

Boys Energy Buster

Our Boys Energy Buster Class is all about movement, fun, and burning off that extra energy in a safe, structured environment built exactly for that!
This isn’t a traditional gymnastics class instead, it’s a high-energy session where boys can run, jump, climb, swing, race, balance, tumble, and play their way through activities designed to build coordination, strength, and confidence without even realising they’re “training.”
Over time, they’ll surprise themselves with how much stronger, more capable, and more confident they become all while having an absolute blast. It’s the perfect class for boys who love to move, love a challenge, and need a place to unleash their energy in the most positive way possible.

This class is not a standalone option it is offered in addition to a standard graded class.
All skill development, progressions are still taught within our regular graded classes. The Regional Competitive Class focuses solely on routine training, refinement, and competition preparation.
